(note: not sure how much of this is my memories of the day, or reading stuff later) I think he got into a fight with the GM McNamara about a trade he wanted, or some guy he wanted to send down, and the GM said no, probably with a "who are you gonna replace me with, the kid? HAHAHA"....and Ballard said "oh ya, Im the owner, F U.....yo Stellick, go buy a new suit, your the GM!" probably told Stellick he wouldnt be getting a raise, just a title bump. lol I kinda miss Ballard. At least that type of owner was entertaining, and I didnt always feel like I got screwed anytime I wanted to go to a Leafs game. They really need to make a movie about Harold Ballard..The man was unique.. I remember I was about 10-11 years old, was sitting in the Golds..Went to his bunker and asked for his autograph .
