I felt , on the whole, like it was trying to be a serious movie, and for the most part it succeeded, but there were elements of regular, cookie-cutter romantic comedies that kept creeping into the script that made it feel cheap somehow. For instance, the therapist becoming a recurring character that kept showing up at every location. I also disliked the whole football-dance competition "parlay". There were a lot of ways to make the dance scene a triumphant and defining moment in the film without attaching a score to it. Still though, I definitely liked it a lot. Jennifer lawrence is awesome. I had to wait until I got them and send them back before they refunded my money. Last week they sent me a $50 e gift card. Bought The Hobbit on Blu Ray and Wreck it Ralph. A lot of creativity went in creating the different species they came up and what not but I just couldn't get past Nicolas Cage's voice over for being a badass caveman. His voice is too dull & boring for the character. The Hobbit on Blu-ray is awesome by the way. I got much more in to the story at home than I did in the theater (3D is too distracting to me), not to mention I have no desire to pick up an extended version down the road for it. I generally don't like this trend of hiring recognizable actors for voice work, but Cage has a very distinct voice and cadence that jumps out at you. Link to post Share on other sites
