Essay21 2,387
We have issues with women because they're retarded. Personally I'm about a year away from total non compliance. I just won't speak to a woman ever again.
Ron_Mexico 4,238
You'll probably enjoy looking at beautiful women when you're in a relationship with one. Of course, then you won't be allowed to. Such is life. Nah, just find a woman that isn't awful, or self conscious, or whatever. But yeah, as a rule, I guess you're right. I suppose I've just found women that weren't offended by that stuff. I see Strats point on some level, but dang, I couldn't accept that. I'd rather be in last place and in the game than never have played.
JubilantLankyLad 1,960
there's no disputing that I have huge issues with girls. Brv, would you shut up about your horse cock already?
InternetExplorer 2,620
I don't get it. what did that confirm or refute for you or him?
Ron_Mexico 4,238
St Marteen - Orient Beach, on the French side. Water was about 5 degrees too cold but not awful. The northerners thought it was perfect. Atlantis - place was HUGE. Would probably go back. Didnt enjoy paying $8.05 for two small fountain soda drinks at a bar St Thomas - from the ship The other snorkel guide, Lauren. She was tiny. Probably 5'1" at best Beef carpaccio - dinner at the steakhouse on board. Soooo good. They even served an amuse of steak tartar with horseradish ice cream
Essay21 2,387
Should have snapped more photos of this one. She is the real deal.
InternetExplorer 2,620
yeah, looking like that, those girls were mortal locks to get hired for those jobs. moving jobless was completely safe. uh, the difference between you and them is that you don't have much of a chance of dinging some kind of a lucrative life partner in your random leap of faith job. it probably isn't tough to find a lonely idiot with money on one of those cruises if you work enough of them. I sound so cynical here but I'm not wrong. whether they are conscious of it or not.
Ron_Mexico 4,238
While I don't disagree with your premise, I don't think it's absolute. Sure, an attractive woman can usually find an easier way in life by hooking up with a successful dude and living out life, but there are p,entry of guys that get attractive women while not being rich. And there are plenty of hot girls that would rather laugh, have fun and be in love than worrying about finding some easy way out with a well off dude they moderately like. Takes all kinds. But yes, I've always said that I dislike the women that just want to get married and be a stay at home mom with no real personal aspirations.
Essay21 2,387
The only thing that sucks is I'm never going to have enough money to get one of those. Damn this economy.
Whiskers 683
You're all about the exceptions to the rule today, aren't you? Edit: Old lady'd.
Ron_Mexico 4,238
I am, only because there are exceptions. Well ok, what would be the cash range for being classified as a rich guy? There are rich guys that make a lot and spend just as much living the life and there are guys that make less but don't live large. So many varying degrees
InternetExplorer 2,620
there's a lottery winner on reddit doing an AMA that is clearly determined not to be a retarded stereotypical lottery winner. then he lets slip that he's invested 33% with a firm that's promising 7% real returns/year, and that he can live off that 20k GBP indefinitely. was madoff even promising returns that good? Napa Lite 3,281
I've seen much worse looking dudes than Strat get as hot, if not hotter chicks. Now that he's all svelte he could bag one. I shouldn't really complain because I'm getting paid and its the clients money, but they have nothing ready for us that we requested. And the CEO won't let the CFO give us anything without her approval, so I'm just sitting here waiting for him to bring me some reports that should take 5 minutes, but instead ill be lucky to have them by the end of the day. It's like, you're hiring us to be here. Why are you not allowing us to do the job you hired us to do?! And for some reason I had thought we only had two hours left, but its three. This is going to be a long three days. On the plus side...it sounds like I'm getting pulled from the Kansas audit the next two weeks and will be staying around home to do some bank audits instead. I'm not really sure if that's good news or not though since the banks are kind of seen as the JV to the co-ops varsity. I think they're switching me and the other new guy, but he also has 3 years prior audit experience to my none, so they might just be moving him up from banks first or something. See, I told you guys I'm probably going to get fired.
InternetExplorer 2,620
also, a story from someone else about a relative who was minted in the dot com bubble and paid off everyone in his family's mortgage, only to find out years later that those people ended up having to remortgage. delight. Ron_Mexico 4,238
That's their problem, as long as they don't come back asking for more Madoff was promising 18-20% at one point. That's why Ponzi schemes will always work. People are greedy
InternetExplorer 2,620
a huge sum of unearned money is pretty much one of the most painful things you can inflict on the kind of person who religiously plays the lottery.
The Ocho 972
Shake at least you had sex. That's better than not having sex, I think we'd all agree on that. Would we? I'm not sure WE ALL would. there's a lottery winner on reddit doing an AMA that is clearly determined not to be a retarded stereotypical lottery winner. then he lets slip that he's invested 33% with a firm that's promising 7% real returns/year, and that he can live off that 20k GBP indefinitely. was madoff even promising returns that good? I think Madoff's worst year was 12%. 7% real return doesn't seem that far out of line.
iZuma 766
depends on the bank
InternetExplorer 2,620
7% real+risk-free doesn't exist long-term. 7%-inflation, definitely feasible. massive difference there. this guy is with a scumbag advising firm, 100%.
The Ocho 972
You didn't say it was label as risk free. Just a 7% real return. Inflation is <2% so 7% for this coming year seems reasonable.
Tiltinagain 977
a huge sum of unearned money is pretty much one of the most painful things you can inflict on the kind of person who religiously plays the lottery. Agreed. And you can throw in 21 year olds drafted into the NBA, NFL etc... who come from lives of poverty. There's a reason such a high percentage from each category end up broke.
InternetExplorer 2,620
right you are. yes, dudes were claiming risk free apparently, or at at least this guy was operating on that assumption. it's really ****ed up that he slugged $500k or whatever USD equivalent into the market clearly without ever having read a personal finance text. Tiltinagain 977
You didn't say it was label as risk free. Just a 7% real return. Inflation is <2% so 7% for this coming year seems reasonable. Strat did say they promised 7% real return which basically means a risk free guarantee. Now shake, whiskers, thera et al will hound you for days to apologize and then never let you live it down even after you do. Congrats.
InternetExplorer 2,620
how successful do you think you'd be if you had required reading for your clients before agreeing to manage their money? like, I wonder if a reputable firm could get away with doing that.
