Ron_Mexico 4,238
Oh man, love me some Kurkjian and if I still lived in WPB, I would go to MetroZoo just to see Magill. Love those two. Lowell has grown on me and I think if JT says stuff and not just plays the "sanctity of the locker room" stuff, then it will be good. He told a funny story of giving a speech after a game about guys quitting and the guy he was talking about came over and agreed that they need to weed out the quitters. Ron_Mexico 4,238
Why have they stopped hanging up people for pleasantries? I respected that so much. What they said, and because due to the increased popularity of the show, they were getting more and more callers who didn't know the rule and it turned into a hang up fest. I missed all the new sooeys with different cuts in them and looooved the concept. Those long winded callers with no points just irritate me and make me uncomfortable with their lack of self awareness. GOTZYA!!!! Funny, and I'm sure he's in on the joke, but Dan is wrong here, he doesn't just want a yes man with him.
BigDMcGee 3,367
but dan has been letting it go as well. and i don't like that at all. Dan stopped doing it, because he didn't want to be the bad guy. He gave stugotz and hoch a choice, either they could start doing it too, or they'd do away with it. Because he didn't want to be the jerk, and then have stugotz undermine him when he wasn't there. And Stogotz/Hoch said they wouldn't hang up on people when he wasn't there,so he ended the sueys. He hasn't been "letting it go" he made a conscious decision to stop doing it.
DJ Vu 176
I loved the sooey (suey?) montages. My favorite part of the hypnotizing wrestler re-join is when he says, "textbook worm!"
Ron_Mexico 4,238
HOW ARE WE NOT HYPNOTIZED? I searched out the Tom Cruise from Tropic Thunder rejoin. Cruise slayed that part.
Ron_Mexico 4,238
What's funny is, I find myself using slayed on here as a way of writing that someone did something really well. I would never use "slayed" in real life unless it involved a dragon
DJ Vu 176
Bomani Jones killed it on the radio show. I like the fact that he is intelligent, funny, and can often disagree with Dan. Stugotz needs Hoch on his side to argue with Dan because that makes it funny. When it's just Dan vs. Stu, it feels like Dan bullies him.
Ron_Mexico 4,238
Dan does bully and nitpick him, but doesn't take it back when he screws up a fact or pronunciation. Stugotz is definitely a whipping boy. Deservedly so most times. Bomani, I really enjoy 3/4 of the time and 1/4 of the time it seems he's trying to be too cool for school. But yeah, REALLY bright dude. 2 masters degrees and he's really well spoken. (That joke still works) But seriously, he has some deep vocabulary. Color me impressed and jealous. I wish I could speak like that. When Fake Lou Holtz and DJ Mike Hitman squared off, OMG, I was actually crying laughing in the car and caught an ab cramp. When FLH just started insulting Cowboys, Hollywood Henderson and Jerry Jones, I died. The JJ joke was prescious. A face so tight you can show a movie on it.
Ron_Mexico 4,238
Friday's show, when Danny told the story about Cutler that was reported in KissingSuzyKolber.com, I was laughing so hard while picturing it. I also intend to incorporate it into my repertoire

Whiskers 683
Dan Le Batard Show @LeBatardShow Hey, today's loud, obnoxious Knicks fans (forgive the redundancy): Only one thing sports fans like less than arrogance. Unearned arrogance I don't like the Knicks and I certainly don't like most NY fans, but I think you should be allowed to talk trash when your team beats another team in their building by 20+. And the Heat kind of own the whole "unearned arrogance" thing anyway.

Unearned arrogance I don't like the Knicks and I certainly don't like most NY fans, but I think you should be allowed to talk trash when your team beats another team in their building by 20+. And the Heat kind of own the whole "unearned arrogance" thing anyway. Dan addressed that on the show today, actually.. 1) a texter brought up the point, and he said "yes, exactly. Everyone hated the heat when they came out of the stage." He just used that to prove his point 2) Now the heat's arrogance is earned, and people don't hate them anywhere near as much
