I find myself calling in these spots all the time, but I'm beginning to wonder if it's a leak.I mean, on the river, all we can beat is a bluff and KQ. I don't think he has many bluffs other than QT, and he might not even value bet a hand like KQ. But he does have all the combos of JT+, and possibly 66.Him having KK is more of an anomaly, and I would be more worried that his overall value range far outweighs his bluff range on the river.

Just reviewing some earlier sessions, and I found this hand. I more I think about it, the more I really hate my check on the river. Pot control.Not sure if this is a leak, but I don't think it's necessary to try and build a huge pot 200bbs deep OOP with one pair, even if it is AA. I just figured all the likely hands that could raise me either have me crushed or are doing okay equity wise against me.I don't think betting is terrible though.

Yeah, I didn't notice the stack sizes when I asked. It's typically an auto c-bet for me, but deep oop I like pot controlling. Sucks if we're vs someone good who can put us in a tough spot by barreling, but if we suspect that is the case, we just click call 3times... I mean, we haz AA

I think you can check flop there 100 deep with the intention of c/jamming. It can actually be quite a good way to balance if you're c/f a lot of wet boards you brick and c/jamming draws/backdoor draws/overcards there

If the villain is 44/4 I like bet/folding the turn. He's loose enough that we can get value from Kx. As played the river is an easy call imo.

James...my note would say this...3xOR/c KJo CO vs BSC/SBRR-ch flop MP2K HU IP, call turn, ch rivAlso, Jon...that's the beauty of root beer. It allows you to put a bet in there on the flop (and possibly turn) while still essentially pot-controlling. I'd probably bet around $1.50-$2 there with the aces with plans to call down if raised.

Is checking the river here decent considering the draw heavy board? If it were like K95®52 I prolly go for 3 streets, but I thought villain would try to bluff with a missed draw more often than call a 3rd barrel with worse. Villian is 16/8 through 106edit- looking back should my turn bet be closer to the $1 mark with the board texture?
