High QB rating in game versus bad statistical team isn't worth quite as much as a high rating in a game against a very highly rated team. Bad games against bad teams are weighted heavier.. take that number and multiply it times winning percentage.So I compiled a bunch of data and then I lost it. I was basically just comparing a QB's game rating against what that defense's QB rating allowed for the season was. I looked at Romo, Brees, Manning, Rodgers, and Favre.Manning had two negative games, meaning his rating for the game was lower than what that defense averaged giving up for the season. Everybody else had three.Brees had the highest rating and it wasn't very close. Something like a per game average of +23. Manning and Favre were around +18 I think, Rodgers +15, and Romo +14. Some interesting tidbits that I remember:Romo had the biggest negative game, something like -69, but it was against the Giants who were bottom four or five in pass defense on the year. Favre's negative games were only barely negative, but he also had a lot of just barely positive games. He was helped greatly by destroying the Packers twice (and also Seattle and Detroit I think). Conversely, Rodgers had two negative games against the Vikings (and one inexplicably against Tampa). Rodgers and Favre faced the toughest defenses, with something like an average 88 against, while the other three faced 85 averages.After all is said and done, I don't think this is really all that telling. My friend, whose a Packer fan, told me at some point Favre is going to rip your heart out with a bone head play. I'm pretty sure that was it. I couldn't move when that ball was picked off. Considering how ordinary the Jets made Rivers look it is all the more impressive. It took him 25 minutes but he figured out those blitzes eventually.I love Favre bashing but the Vikings really outplayed the Saints in that game. 6 fumbles (3 lost), 2 picks and they still score 28 and should have had a chance to win it at the end of regulation. NO got super lucky and I do not like their chances much against Indy. Saints run a poor man's version of the Jets defense and we all saw how well all that blitzing worked on Manning....
