I Called In Sick Today

Recommended Posts

I'd like to issue an official unwelcome from the sickie thread, mclumpo. I didn't read your story, but I read the 5 stupid drunken threads you started in GenPo today, and I think you are a moron (no offense).
This was funny. You should probably read his original post, it was actually funny. Though it sounds like it actually ended two relationships, which is more sad than funny.

Wow, can't believe I actually made a team. I guess that whole "you are all e-dorks, stop wasting your lives, I'm too cool for this" kick I was on really fizzled out.I do notice that you grouped all the Jews together...and we're on the non-dick team.
I wish this were true, but I doubt it's the case, here. Speedz has already won, but instead of pulling an Urban Meyer by running play-action on 3rd and 8 from the 30 up 6 scores with less than two minutes left, he's kneeling on the 1, attempting to be a gracious winner.
I thought you were wrong about this. That Speedzy, in true Sick Thread fashion, was just trying to kick her while she is down, and prove his overall superiority in every way.
Edit: I did feel bad...she's a good girl, and I did enjoy the relationship for quite a while. Oh well, I'm sure she's better off without me.
...I was wrong.Apparently Mattycats is different than...Ron, Wang or Turd.

and after 3 days, he is risen!

If you are paying $20 for a haircut, I imagine people assume you did it yourself anyway.

Pocket change cost me my first and only black girlfriend.   It was in the middle of a roaring poker boom and I was flush in ways most men don't even bother dreaming of. Money, it was like dirt to me

By the way, I'd like to hear the answer to this too.
I assume that it came out during dinner that she was a non-jew golddigging stripper, which madeMatty's dad happy until he caught the leer from his wife and well, you know how them family dinners go.

really want to post this as my facebook status:"IS NOT ASHAMED!!! Let's see how many people on fb aren't ashamed to show their love for the Flying Spaghetti Monster and admit that He and his Noodly Appendages are their Savior. We need to get the Flying Spaghetti Monster back in America. If you're not ashamed, copy and paste this in your status."

The Pontiac Silverdome was sold for $583,000.It cost $55 million to build in 1975.
Yes, big news around town. I laughed when I heard that on the radio yesterday. LOL $500K. But I am excited since there will be soccer there.

If you adjust that for inflation the selling price is even more ridic by comparison. Depending on what measurement you use for inflation (according to the website that did the calculation for me) it cost the equivalent of at least $200 million to build in todays money.p.s. since I don't understand the math behind this, I take no responsibility if I am wrong.

I <3 the FSM and I am not ashamed. Right now on my facebook feed tons of people are posting this as their status: "THE FACEBOOK TRICK: press up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, b, a, Enter key, then scroll up or down, magic circles will appear. the only way to get rid of them is to log off or refresh the page...IT WILL WORK! Put this as your status if it works guys..." I don't get why they want other people to post it as their status. Why do they care how many of their 'friends' manage to do this incredibly simple 'trick' which they know works for everyone? Sad thing is, now that I've said that I guess a few of you will go to facebook and try it.

Even funnier that somebody offered to buy it for $20 million last year.

That's why I put the year in, it's insane. I mean, there are people in this thread who could've bought it. How about that for the annual Thanksgiving family football game? "Going to the Silverdome to play a little two-hand touch football. We'll be back for dinner."

My first thought was "I'm not stupid enough to fall for that nonsense". Obviously a trick to make me feel stupid pressing buttons on my facebook page. But, it actually does work. I'm a bit flabbergasted.

That's the old Contra code.
Yeah, it's the Konami code. I knew that, I just didn't bother adding it since my post was long enough already. That silverdome apparantly costs 1.5 million a year to maintain, so I wouldn't want it even if they were giving it away. It would be an albratross around my neck. Actually, if it was free and I had no obligation to maintain it, I guess I'd let it go to rack and ruin, but in the meantime use it as a general playing ground where I could dance around like a maniac with no one watching. That's my honest opinion on the matter.

Would you be obligated to maintain it? I'm picturing the episode where Bart Simpson buys a factory for a dollar at an auction.

Did you just use a smilie? The answer is: I didn't know that I was going to break up with her the next day.
...I was wrong.
ORLY?

This one wasn't a stripper. That was the other roommate and the chick from school, who, by the way, recently broke off her engagement.

You love facebook.
That's the old Contra code.
I'm pretty sure it's also similar to the Mortal Kombat "blood code" for Gamegear.

You've already got an apartment for that.

Good point, since a 99% decrease in value is not ridiculous enough...

Is that making fun of a thing that christians put on their pages? I don't have crazy religious friends (well, I have one, but he associates with mentally challenged asians, so he doesn't count), so I've never seen it before.,

I cannot believe the annual maintenance cost is only 1.5 million. I wonder what they include in that.I bet it's 100K a month just for utilities. Depending on what they are doing the staffing costs are probably pretty up there as well. There are gonna be a lot of monster truck rally's in Detroit soon!

I didn't think I was actually going to go through with it. And even if I did know, which I didn't, it would have been weird to try and cancel dinner. I would have had to make something up, and she would have been asking why I lied to her in order to cancel the dinner, then didn't even break up with her until the next day. Cheeto seems to be transitioning into a lap cat. I'm not sure what to make of it.

If you just buy it for fun, seems like the land tax would be the main issue. You can just turn on the lights the few times per year you want to run around on the field.Paintball. That's what it'd be fun for. Or laser tag.

Speaking of turbo, we've become quite chummy. As far as the Silverdome, just charge 5000 people a hundo a week to live there, open the concessions to sell food and turn a tidy profit. On second thought, since they can buy houses there for a dollar itmight not work.
