Jadaki 1
lol. In fairness, the current Cavs are better than most of those Timberwolves teams. KG in his prime is a different animal all together, and would make a much more compelling case. But with todays KG, if you'd really take him over lebron, you're either 1) Retarded 2) smoking sherm 3) Jadaki.I will say, specifically for the Celtics, that KG is a better fit than Lebron, because he's not a low post player. Though he has a power forward's body, he doesn't have a power forward's game ( yet). Would I rather have Lebron than Pierce on the Celtics? El Oh El.Current Cavs are better than all but 1 of the teams MN had while KG was there, last years Cav's without Williams were better than most teams KG was on. Today's KG has lead his team to 18 straight wins, and doesn't need to shoot the ball every time down the court or have it run through him. He can play better than Lebron in a team oriented system and its not even close. Lebron over Pierce... not for the Celtics, for the Cavs yes, for the Celtics no.Though I'm sure if they could make that trade they would, Pierce doesn't have many really good years left.you've gone completely sideways, man.Aren't you still crying over losing last June? All it takes is a reference to a Celtics player to get Lakers fans angry

keith crime 8
I just heard Doc Rivers on Jim Rome talking about KG and he compared him to Russell and said without the supporting cast you don't see the greatnessOf course Jadeki refuses to acknowledge that supporting cast matters - they are all NBA players right?I love Mo Williams but he's no Paul PierceKG never did anything without Pierce - even when he had a team that was supposed toTrade KG for Lebron - both teams are actually worse, but the Cavs would be a few games above 500 and the Celtics would be one or two games worseYou can't be the best player in the game if when you're down by one, you have to ask Paul Pierce where on the court he wants you to try and get him the ball

BigDMcGee 3,367
KG never did anything without Pierce - even when he had a team that was supposed toPierce also never did a thing without KG. I love how Jadaki says that Pierce is supposed to be a better team guy than Lebron, when his entire career prior to last season he was blasted for being selfish ( when the truth was, he was just on brutally bad teams, and had to take many shots). Poppy_Hillis 11
Nobody has ever won anything in this league without somebody else.If the Celtics traded Pierce 4 Lebron, Boston would never lose a game.
babylondonks 5
Well, I quoted so much I actually don't remember who I agree with, so bear with me. yeah, trade Lebron for KG and see how many wins his leadership gets cleveland.I think it would be interesting to put KG next to Mo, Delonte, Wally and Big Z. You basically couldn't double off anyone to cover KG. But yes, I think a LeBron for KG trade helps absolutely nobody.lol. In fairness, the current Cavs are better than most of those Timberwolves teams. KG in his prime is a different animal all together, and would make a much more compelling case. Though he has a power forward's body, he doesn't have a power forward's game ( yet). Would I rather have Lebron than Pierce on the Celtics? El Oh El.KG isn't really a low-post player either unfortunately. He can play the low-post when he wants to, but he's much more comfortable taking the mid-range (which isn't too bad as he's a knock-down shooter) which annoys me to no end as he can create both for himself and for others with his back to the basket. But he certainly isn't a perimeter player a la Lebron.Celtics 2008-2009 MVPS3. Kendrick Perkins2. Ray Allen1. Rajon RondoFYP.Kendrick and Rajon are basically what brings the C's from a good team to a great team. You basically know what you getting from the Big 3, when the other two perform they're basically unstoppable.Nobody has ever won anything in this league without somebody else.If the Celtics traded Pierce 4 Lebron, Boston would never lose a game.I think we'd lose a few trying to transition Lebron to a place where he wouldn't really be handling the ball and would get far less shots to create rythm for himself. But yes
chgocubs99 0
Nobody has ever won anything in this league without somebody else.Exactly. Can we all stop with the "who did what without who?" It is irrelevant to any arguments. What would either team do with other players...who knows? I agree KG is a great fit in Boston, does exactly what that team needs, and is a top 10 player in this league right now. Does that make him a better basketball player than Lebron James? It does not. Jadaki 1
yeah, because Lebron is such a selfish player and everything. LOLYour taking that wrong.Lebron is not a good off the ball player because he never learned how, no coach he has had ever took the ball out of his hands and made him run of screens, set picks etc etc. He couldn't be on the pick side of a pick and roll if right now if his life was on the line. He doesn't do very well without the ball in his hands and Pierce not only can but does. I've seen a handful of plays this season that look like Lebron is working on it, but he doesn't have that experience yet.Pierce is ahead 1-0 in finals MVP's, and they have been there the same number of times. It has beyond nothing to do with anything.Come to think of it, the rest of your post is pointless as well. It's hilarious how you keep nitpicking at Lebron's defecencies like they are proving some type of case for you. They aren't. Shaq doesn't shoot 3's well. chgocubs99 0
I mean, if you think I've been being a douche for all 9k of my posts, then there's no point in me defending myself, since you clearly just don't like me. If you are just talking about this thread or the basketball threads in general I would agree that I am sometimes harsher than I need to be or should be. I would also say my arguments are the most strong and unbiased of anyone's here, but then again, I am biased on that. I am incapabable of not being a douche when I see a bunch of silly arguments being thrown out that have no bearing on really anything, and if that makes me an *******, then so be it I guess. Don't mean to hurt anyone's feelings but sometimes it has to be told like it is. It's like Spademan in the religion thread...he was owning Hollywood so hard that Hollywood had no response to him except for "You're being a douche". If you want to argue back with a substantive point, and ALSO point out how big of a douche I am, then that would concern me because I try to respect other people who are logically thinking. And that may happen occasionally. But most of the time it doesn't because if the person would have put in some logical thought to begin with, I never would have been a douche to begin with. Lastly, it's the internet. My tone probably comes off as abrasive but I'm really just saying what I'm thinking since there are no real social ramifications. I'll try to work on it (I mean that) if it really comes off that bad. It's hard to really gauge stuff on the internet though...I was going to conclude the last sentence with "Make sense?" since I kind of rambled, but I was trying not to come off like an arrogant jackass who was implying you couldn't understand that, and something like "Make sense?" may make someone feel that way. But my boss asks that like 15 times a day to people after he is explaining something, and IRL it's just him confirming we understand what he is saying. Anyway, I was trying to say all this before but I just came up with "eh" since I didn't know how to get it all down, hopefully this sums it up. Sorry if anyone was offended. I love how Lebron leading his team to the finals on an historically terrible team to the finals when he was 22 is supposed to be some sort of knock on him because he lost. It really is one of the stupidest agruments I've ever heard for anything, and makes me suspect Jada is leveling us. Put Pierce on that finals team instead of Lebron, and they wouldn't have made the playoffs ( well, the east was really terrible that year, he might have stole a 8th seed with them). B) I do also like jada, but I can't believe some of the stuff he says in this thread. Like I really don't believe it to the point I think he's fcking with us. I don't think he deserves the hollywood treatment, because at least he makes thoughtful posts and is trying to make a point. I just think he's profoundly wrong about this. But, I can understand taking a controversial stand against a popular athlete, I've thought Brett Favre has been overrated for years, and for a long time was pretty much by myself in thinking that ( the bandwagon grows by the day, and is now full of jet fans). Maybe 8 years from now, if Lebron is ringless, has lost some steps, put on some weight but still doesn't have a low post game, Jada will be vindicated too.
