He's 3bet me twice and has been taking wierd/strong lines.I 3bet bluff him because he's been raising a wide range and he'd have a wide opening range in sb in bld vs bld. On the flop I decided to play my hand for value and flat his donk. I pot control the turn and on the river I'm turning my hand into a bluff. I'd bet the turn. I think your pair is good and I wouldn't want to give the villain a free card.

Can you explain why you decided to turn your hand into a bluff? I don't think he's going to fold an ace, he might fold a ten or 77-99, but your beating everything else (2 pair+ aside.) Why not just check since you have a decent amount of showdown value?

I do find it interesting that you've posted two hands where you bet in position on the river and folded to a big check-raise. Maybe betting the river too often?
