what music are you guys listening to?

Recommended Posts

It's not as good as Back in Black..that's for sure....that's just not possible. I'd put it ahead of Ballbreaker and Razor's Edge though. Track 4 is a little different than what we are used to from them...but god I think this album is just so complete..very little filler...a lot of versatility....Johnson's voice sounds amazing. I like the Johnson-era AC/DC over the Bon Scott era...but that's just me.
I have been an AC/DC fan since 1980, so what. Anyway I've listened to Black Ice 3+ times and am diggin' it. Definitely superior to Razor's Edge.Top 5 AC/DC songs:1. Live Wire (my celebration song when I win a tourney)2. Let There Be Rock3. Rocker4. Ride On5. Gone Shootin'Yours...?

Hans, boubie, I'm your white knight

holy shit, I can't stop listening to Run The Jewels 2

Bob Dylan.

So I kinda like the rap song, 'Whatever You Like' by TI. I saw this version on CNN today, it's a bunch of kids singing "You can vote however you like". I think it's pretty bitchin.
One of my best friends went to Ron Clark Academy. A-Town represent. Paper Trail is alright, but King is ****ing massive, and Trap Musik is also relatively ballin'. T.I. is brilliant, if you really listen to what he's saying, particularly on Trap Musik, in my opinion.
this is quite the coinkidink, since as I was being dropped off this morning there was a rap song on in the car, and the last guy I heard was freaking great, and I asked my buddy who it was and he said it was TI. I always thought he was one of those mainstream douchebags that raps about rims and swimming pools or something but that dude was tight. I'm off to get some right now.

Oh, he'll rap about rims pretty extensively, but he knows why he rhymes about rims, he knows why you want him to rhyme about rims, and he'll tell you.

so i take a yearly trip with my cousins where we rent a house for a weekend and just hang out and booze. i make a power hour cd every year, and this year i did a "90s" theme. didn't take as much time on it as i usually would (last year's 80s power hour is a masterpiece, not to toot my own horn) but i'll post both here when i get back. you guys seem like the kind of people who could use a decent power hour cd or two. excepting wang, of course, although an o'douls power hour would still be fun...
Yeah I thought so, too, but it was just horrible. You know how Power Hours kinda suck because you're drinking 90oz. of carbonated alcohol and large gulps of oxygen in an hour? Well, imagine doing that except you don't even get the light-at-the-end-of-the-tunnel I'm-not-as-drunk-as-I'm-acting inebriation. I finally got around to listening to MGMT. I downloaded it a long time ago, and it finally caught my ear on my iTunes shuffle. Anyway, what the hell is going on with the production? It's like whoever was at the controls cleaned it all up, made it nice and glossy, then put it through a fucking woodchipper or something. "Sorry, this baseball is simply too white. Gotta scuff it up a little." I think it's an awesome sound.I really like "Kids" and "Time to Pretend," but I've only listened to the album a few times and it seems like those are probably the most singley/accessible tracks, and I'm always drawn to songs with good hooks first. Though I've never really hidden it, I think I'm just a fan of pop music at heart. I just love a badass keyboard loop or a sweet guitar hook. Gimme a catchy chorus and I'm going to roll the windows down and pretend I'm driving as the camera pans back during the closing credits.I hope everyone is well.

yeah, everyone gets gassy, but by the half-way point no one cares.dave fridmann (mercury rev, flaming lips) produced and it's true, he likes to compress things to the point where they distort so you definitely get the scuffed up sound. annoys some people, but i like it. i know you ejaculate to soft bulletin like i do, and i think mgmt's album sounds closer to that than anything else he's produced since.i like pop songs too.

anybody here ever listened to the eagles of death metal? I just got "peace love and death metal" and I'm really enjoying it. has sort of a harder stones sound to it. also, I checked out the first couple of songs on t.i.'s king, and I'm sorry to say that I'm disappointed. basically sounds like that manufactured club rap that I dislike with a vengeance. I'll give the rest of the album a listen along with the other one dutch recommended, but I don't have my hopes up. I guess I should just stick to white rappers.

Just went and saw Weezer this past sat. Unreal show. So I'm back listening to the Blue Album.
Did they play many old cuts? I would assume most of the show would be from the Red Album, and that stuff is awful.Grooving on Destroyer's Trouble in Dreams album, also Roots Manuva's Run Come Save Me output is still dope.

They did played a TON of old stuff. 5 songs off the blue album. Only 3 songs of the Red album I think maybe 4. But mostly old stuff and did a cool version with Tom Delong of the Sweater song. Then brough about 50 hs and college kids up on stage with like 30 different kinds of instruments for a jam version of Island in the Sun. I like going to shows u can sing to and have fun instead of some band dropping a 30 min version of a bside song. Overall give the show a 9 of 10....only Bruce goes 10-10.

I was in a liquor store with mojo tonight. she outwitted me and convinced me not to buy sam adams winter lager due to it still being october. I went to another liquor store and bought it to avoid the shame with the staff.REGARDLESS. winter starts (in jeff-land) on nov. 1. let's get a winter mix started on that date. I'll submit the first track on that day... you can all fall in line or be a bunch of joannas. it's your choice.
YOU'D BETTER NOT DRINK THAT STUFF TIL NOV 1. IF YOU ARE DRINKING IT NOW... I HATE YOU.Just kidding, you're still my homenig. Save me a lay-ger. I would like to help with the winter mix. Are Christmas songs allowed? I've got some great Bing Crosby.

I thought it was just the Slants you had beef with...
Homenig is a term of endearment I use for my beloved ones - my mother, my boyfriend, cats I see on the street, and suchlike. It's not a racial slur, it's affectionate.

There's a "John McCain hates Gooks" thread?
yeah, in the DN blog thing. .apparently, John McCain has gone on record as saying that he hates gooks, and when asked if he'd like to retracted it, he said no, that the men who held him captives were gooks, and he would always hate them. EDIT I guess the thread is called " I hate the gooks" but it was John McCain that hates them..http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/poker-foru...howtopic=129979
