Thats the number of years since the last Stanley Cup..They keep talking about the Leafs and 41, but the Habs number is old enough to drive this year.By the way if it wasnt some magical OT business and the Kerry Fraser debacle, the Crabs would be celebrating 23 this year and it would be much longer than the Leafs..Little history lesson that the poutine eating population doesnt recognize. The Leafs lost to the Kings... who lost to the Habs 4-1...If we're going to start looking at it like this anyways, we can just end the debate, because the Penguins were the best team in the NHL that year and should have beaten everybody anyways. Pacioretty père hung up the phone, jumped in his car and drove seven hours from Connecticut to Montreal, where Max-Pac had left him two tickets for the game. Was it worth it? Its scary Montreal's depth right now though they will have a lot of free agents to deal with at the end of the year but no stupid contracts tying up money. Clearly Ollie is much smarter than I am.i was just floating around the habs board on hfboards when their prospect camp was on. clicked a link with a quote from bob gainey saying he felt max pac was 'head and shoulders above the rest of the guys in camp'. montreal have some sick prospects so when a guy says that you have to figure they are pretty excited about him. that one quote pretty much moved him up about 15 spots on my draft list.i'm also pleased with the hornqvist pick. Most other NHL teams would have no choice but to give guys like Pacioretty and Chipchura a lot more icetime. Yet for the Habs, they barely make the team if at all. And I think Komisarek is a really underrated D, not sure why he doesnt get more ink. To those who have watched him play almost nearly every game of his short career in the NHL....what do you think of Price? I still find it hard to believe this kid is as good as they say, but in the 10 games or so that I have watched him play, he's had only a couple of iffy ones, and in the others, really stood out. I'm wondering if the weight loss this summer will also help him a lot. Is he really a superstar to be, and can you even say that this early? I guess you cant but you can see the possibility. This kid is 19, fresh out of the NCAA in Michigan. If there is room on the roster (due to someone starting the season injured) I could see him stick around for a few season games and then get sent down to the AHL. He'll likely spend most of the season in Hamilton where he'll have the opportunity to play with Ben Maxell and D'agostini (great line!). Either of those 3 could get called up this season to fill in for an injury. The bottom 6 forwards out of 14 are (in order): Latendresse, Lapierre/Chipchurra, Laraque, Begin, Dandenault. So its hard to find an actice roster spot for a rookie right now. It best to let them get some good experience in Hamilton. Link to post Share on other sites

I guess you cant but you can see the possibility.Komisarek is a shutdown defenseman...one of the best in the league in my opinion...and defensive d-men don't usually garner that much attention. The NHL doesn't even recognize them unless thay also put up points. I do expect his offense to increase a little this year though but nowhere near enough to pass guys like Lidstrom, Campbell and Phaneuf in Norris voting.Price has the tools to become a great goalie. He still needs to DO IT though. He definitely looks a little quicker with the weight loss and has achnowledged that he feels quicker. As with any young player inconsistency is an issue but I think maturity and experience will solve that problem. Also note that he has a helluva good goalie backing him up. I guess you cant but you can see the possibility.Price is phenominal, lots of people commented on him when the teams they follow faced Price. He stands out alot for a 21 year old. Last year I did notice his lateral movements were a little slow, but he's so tall that it made up for it most of the time. After losing all that weight, he said he felt faster and I immediately noticed he was faster in his crease. Gainey obviously likes what he sees in him, he made the call to keep him at the begining of last season and gave him the number 1 role after the trade deadline. He finished the season strong but ran out of juice in the playoffs. After an overdue summer vacation and some significant weight loss I am totally confident in him starting over 60 games this season and performing well in the playoffs. On top of that there is Halak as #2, 23 years old and he has put up great numbers in his 20 or so games in Montreal. I am very happy with those 2 in nets.Komisarek is my favorite hab. He hits like crazy, blocks a plethora of shots and compliments Markov perfectly. When the oppositions attacks our D they are stuck deciding on wheter to get rocked by Komi or outmatched by Morkov. Yup it is a great time to be a fan, with the centennial celebrations, our rich history, and cup contending team, this season should be lots of fun. Link to post Share on other sites
