If Sammy just had the guts to make a river bet Gold was calling. Barry said that because he doesn't want to tap the glass. He's not ****ing retarded. He knows that if he strokes Golds ego that he'll get a large piece of his ME winnings from cash games.

DAM, you were so close pokerroad...You almost had BG on your side. Read his and Kurts posts and then wait for the book to come out - make sure you buy plenty of copies because I only get something like .000001%.(read BG's thread and you will figure out what book)

First, the hand in question:In the "Bluffing Jesus" hand, for example, Gold end up tossing over 15k into a pot with a hand he needs to toss PF, and seriously consider folding on the flop, because of reverse implied odds (Chris's stack size + the obviousness of Gold's holding means he doens't necessarily win extra if the diamond does drop.) He can't even be sure multi-way that he has the highest diamond draw, plus he's got to root against a board pair and won't even be certain he's not against a boat anyways.I mean Kudos to making Ferguson time bank and all that jazz, but I'd have a hard time believing, based on the amt. Chris has left + Jamie's likely holding that this bluff is successful enough to be a profitable play. Chris has to know that HIS hand is turned up, and even Jamie is not donkey enough to call down with TP there based on Chris's line in the hand.If any thing. Jesus played the hand badly based on the above to paragraphs.---------------- Second -----------Jamie Gold is fun to watch, he's like your favorite hometown sports team. He brings *everything* to the table against world-class competition, holds his own, and is a potential world beater.He also makes plays that are so beyond -EV it downright makes you cry. He can implode, and places to much value on every single pot he enters.He's got a boatload of talent though. He has the mind for it, he's got a great style of play that makes him hard to read, he just needs to fully embrace the concepts of changing gears (to be even more profitable) and *playing poker*. He's got a TON of road gambler in him, which really came to the surface in the latest season of HSP.Moneymaker eventually became a solid player. Raymer already was and is getting even better day after day. Mortenson went from solid, crazy, and talented to a downright scary talent.I think Gold has the kind of upside someone like Carlos has, if he keeps at it and starts expanding (or maybe even by simplifying) his game.

I honestly like the way Jamie is playing this week. I mean that move against Hellmuth with the K6 OOP was sick. He knew Phil was folding everything but AA,KK,QQ in that situation. I was actually thinking about making a post like this because he really seems to have gotten better at playing pots in position and have somewhat improved his calling ranges from what they used to be (WSOP ME, HSP, ETC). He really could become a solid player in the next few years. He seems to have quieted down this episode also, which I think is good. He still needs to talk because getting people to fold/call when he wants them too is something he does EXTREMELY well imo, but hes better off saving some of the things he says when he's not in a hand because they could do him a disservice during later hands/situations. I'm gonna give him credit for improving his play overall and I could care less how good he ran/played when we first saw him in the Main Event.

It was a good play, but I wish he would have shut up after he popped it. "I could be bluffing." Every time I see him say that, he /is/ bluffing. His constant talking usually does more harm than it does good.Like I said it was a good play, but it was also reckless. I'd like to see him do that and Phil insta call with Kings, and all of a sudden Jaime is an idiot again. If there was a solid read behind the move, than more power to him, but it looked more like: "I'm going to bluff here, because I feel like."

This reminded me of something that always bothered me from HSP.Remember the first season that Gold was on? When he was getting ready to leave and wanted to stay but the producers already had someone coming to fill his seat? Barry said something to the effect of "You won all that money in the Main Event and took it out of the poker community, we were just hoping you would give a little back.".Isn't that a little hypocritical coming from "The Robin Hood of Poker" who takes money out of the poker community on a regular basis?/retarded thoughts
No. Because Barry plans on constantly removing money from the poker community and never giving it back. He knows that Jamie will be giving it back and he wants to be there to take it when he does.
