Jamie Gold Said He's Wrong

The most significant admissions were that he flashed one of his cards at a competitor during the main event and that he tipped off a friend about one of his hands.“You should never flash a card,” he said. “I wasn’t thinking, ‘Wow, I’m going to bend the rules.’ I was just so caught up in the excitement of what was happening and I kind of just lost myself and I regret doing that. And I basically told a friend of mine what I had because I didn’t want him to bust out and that was also really inappropriate. And I’m going to make sure that doesn’t happen again. People are just going to have to forgive me.”

"But Gold apologized for his previously undisclosed antics during the $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Texas Hold ’Em tournament — antics that might have resulted in penalties if he had been caught. The most significant admissions were that he flashed one of his cards at a competitor during the main event and that he tipped off a friend about one of his hands."Um....am I missing something here? Does Steve Friess not have basic cable? These actions were "disclosed" on the ESPN broadcasts months ago...

You should always listen to your parents.Oh and Texas Hold 'Em is the only form of poker that exists.
No one cares
F you A-holes, I'll nutbar a ten cent table if I want to.
You're acting pretty arrogant for someone who has only been posting here for 6 ****ING DAYS.Slow down, or you might want to wipe the dust off your flame suit. Maybe if you added something positive you wouldn't be looked down upon, but at this rate, you'll never get any respect here, just responses that include cats and food recipes.

On a side note, and I never thought I'd say this, but for some reason I don't hate Gold as much as I used to. I have watched all of the HSP season 3's (actually why I'm saying this) and I thought he actually played pretty good there and seemed much better personality wise. Now, it could be that he was just in awe of everyone and on his best behavior as a result, but I decided to give him a pass...for now anyway. That said I still get creeped out by his eye-liner looking eye balls and goofy grin. :club:

I see the resemblance. When I said no one cares I meant like Jaime Gold takes a lot of heat and seems to be a decent guy. He shouldn't have to apologize nationally for flashing a card. It's not a big deal. And I'm arrogant coming from a guy who's avatar is a sign saying "You're Retarded"P.S. It's been 13 days. :-)

The sign says "Your Retarded." If you correct the grammar, you miss the subtlety.

Gold will be broke by the end of the year playing cash games
With as much money as he won, he'd have to play REALLY BAD to lose that much in a year.Hopefully he isn't stupid enough to make the amount he won his "bankroll". I know I'd be investing the crap out of that money. With the low stakes I play, I could use the interest of that money as my bankroll.
