GWCGWC 83 Posted April 15, 2018 Share Posted April 15, 2018 I’m absolutly watching the game through homer glasses but the refs aren’t calling enough penalties, especially slashing which they stated would be called the same as the regular season, on the Preds. The uncalled tripping at the 2:05ish mark in the video directly lead to a goal. It’s bullshit........unless I’m wrong about this being a trip (I’m not). Zach6668 513 Posted April 15, 2018 Share Posted April 15, 2018 NHL is stupid about that. The rules get much more "relaxed" in the playoffs. It's an unwritten rule. It's so strange. Though it's not particularly consistent in the regular season from game to game, or from ref to ref. As for that specific play... It's probably a penalty, but it doesn't get called very often. It used to be that if you slid like that, but touched the puck before tripping the guy, you wouldn't get called, but they changed it a few years ago to explicitly say that contact with the puck doesn't matter. It's should be a trip regardless. It's still not frequently called, though. Link to post Share on other sites

He slid to take away the low shot and disrupt a pass. That would rarely be called in the regular season let alone the playoffs. I do hope the Avs can win a game at least. He was barely down by the time he took out the Avs player's legs. He almost threw his body into him. It wasn't like he was already sliding and the Av skated into him. Every single NHL playoff game is televised on NBC or one of their networks..The Knights games are only shown on their own network ATT Sportsnet..Its a small station that my cable package doesnt carry. I have every sports station that is available.. Now that it looks like they will the first round and possibly face the Sharks. What the hell is gonna happen next.. Link to post Share on other sites
