crying is for terrible things. like the death of a child or a close loved one. the president of espn resigning because he couldn’t kick the booze is not an acceptable cause for blubbering like a baby. I mean you’d have thought he got a text while on air that Papi had died.

AND RICHIE HAS MONSTROUS THIGHS   BE CAREFUL HE'LL GOUGE YOUR EYES   SCREAMS RACIAL SLURS AT BLACK GUYS   but out of love.. but out of love, but out of loooooove

Much like with Christianity, someday after I'm dead, when people are forming a religion around me, there will be a big split between those who don't believe in the literal divinity of my lifestyle and

God I love that Incognito song.

it was pathetic because he was scared about how his diversity loving savior is likely to have something ugly come out and dan is fearful it will harm the progressive movement at espn. my god, think about it, if jemelle hill is taken off the air it will be just like 1854 again for black people.

I think dan made it pretty clear it’s fear of undoing the progressive movement and not actual friendship that caused his tears.

Nah, don’t think so. Think he was worried for his friend, whether it be addiction or getting taken down

Just listened. I hate to say i’m with essay, but I think dan went about that poorly. Not sure if he tried to make it awkward and combative on purpose

That being said, it’s apparent that Manfred started with a lie

i dont have a problem with asking tough questions, its just dan's whiny, i'm near tears because its all so unfair tone is too much to take. if i was manfred, i'd have said i won't answer yes or no and i won't be told how to answer. if you have a problem with that i'll hang up now. then when he whined i'd just hang up.

I love Dan's passion, and I don't think it's as contrived as Suited does, but I totally think the entire tone of that interview was Dan's fault. He started off in the intro being combative and then his interrupting with "Rob, yes or no. Yes or no. " Was incredibly disrespectful. This was prior to any lies told, because Rob had only said about 2 words at that point.

With more info at my disposal, Manfred starting off the with a total lie is just as disrespectful. The bs answer are disrespectful. Just being the commissioner doesn’t include deference

When you can’t tell the truth because it’s kind of deceitful, just don’t go on a combative show, just get shills like Stephen A or Wilbon to do your bidding. They would rather be friends with the power brokers than get actual answers

That being said, his tone was shit. Shoulda been more surgical

Technically, Manfred interrupted Dan first, to make that little pitch about 2 championships. A “be grateful for what you have” type thing

For the last time, dan had bad tone and was a bit out of line in spots, just in human decency.

Dan came out guns hot and big Rob wasn’t taking it lying down.

I would prefer that, a million times over, than more social justice talk. Dan literally said the words “there’s a war in this country between black people and white people” this week. He’s jumped the shark in his analysis on race topics.

This is both awesome and very very sad.

Dan is becoming a real thing. Like really real. I guess I'm glad for him, but I'm sad for me.
