As a testament to how important the regular season is, the Whalers had a chance to close out Canadian Gothic, but the rules favor the home team in all ties so Canadian Gothic escapes defeat and will play a game 3. Champions League play takes a two week holiday and then we return with game 3, the deciding game between the three series that are unfinished.
