The Magically Delicious

I've been dealing with Biatch for years in both leagues, and I have never once had an issue. Does he make trades that are lopsided in his favour based on some perceptions? Yes, so does Dale, Bob, me and many others, if not everyone. Thats the nature of the game, sometimes people will perceive a trade in many different ways.

I love dealing with the guy, because first and foremost, he never makes me wait and wait. (like I do to him!) Hes easy to get a hold of and makes lots of counter offers. And I dont worry that he will make a trade with someone else without consulting with others and shopping his assets around.

He put it out there that Crosby ++ were avaiable.

He gave a deadline.

He told everyone what he really wanted (picks+prospects) He made the trade that works best for him.

WTF else do you want? You need him to tell you what his best offer was just so you can bid that, and $.25 more?

Better than guys who trade Ovechkin on the sly or move Spezza without letting others know. I'll take a league full of Biatchs any day.

If I said to you "I have an offer of 3 firsts for this pick, make me a better one if you want it" and the next day I traded it for $1.50 and a 2nd-rounder, would you consider that unethical? That's not what Biatch did, but it seems like your reply implies that it would be fine, because of his other good qualities as a trade partner (which I am not disputing).

I would prefer you don't throw temper tantrums at the Ahl draft, whine about every little trade or rule, have random f bomb angry outbursts on fcp/fchl, bully serge, attack everyone, and act like your opinion is the only one that matters. But hey, we all can't get what we want....

Good job taking the high road, like always.

Wow can't believe it actually happened. These playoffs have been an absolute roller coaster of emotions.   I thought it would be funny to give a quick recap the history of the Magically Delicious a

any publicity is good publicity     Bruce Arthur ‏@bruce_arthur 22m22 minutes ago The multiple tweet-stealing might be the least sad thing about this account

It's probably time to consider unstickying this thread. Stickied threads should really be for top 9 teams and whatnot.

Damn, if I knew when Biatch told me that he preferred the 2016 2nd round pick he was offered to my 2017 2nd round pick that it was Whalers I would have come over the top for Campbell.

My mistake. 2 firsts and 3 ok prospects. My point stands since that's not close to what you got.

Don't usually get involved but just to clarify one point, we did originally offer Dan our 2 first's and 3 younger prospects (2 roster players and 1 farm guy). He decided to take Fredrick Gautier instead of the 3 younger guys. If anyone who made an offer for Crosby wants to send us one as well, feel free as we have no problems shipping him right back out.

No, that's not at all what I am implying.

I understand you are trying to argue using the most extreme possibility, but what you are saying sounds silly when compared to the truth and most considered norms of negotiation. No one has ever done what you are saying, so your hypothetical seems idiotic to me to be honest and kind of a waste of time.

Cool. Thanks for clearing that up.

I wasn't trying to be extreme, just wanted to make it clear I was distancing myself from any accusation of Biatch!

Let's say Wayne offers me 2 firsts and a third, but I really want 3 firsts. So I tell you my best offer is 3 firsts. You say no and you see the next day that I took Wayne's offer. Is that unethical? Would you reconsider trading with me in the future? Really just curious on people's opinions here since even Zach suggests he wouldn't care

I dont know what ethics we are supposed to have in a hockey pool or what others would find ethical or unethical.

I just know that personally I wont lie. Not going to suggest an offer is there when it isn't, or tell someone a player is awesome if he isnt.

If someone lies to me, then ya, I would be less likely to trade with them in the future, thats assuming I even remember. I cant even think of a situation where someone out and out lied to me.

I don't exactly have a file on my competition, I just kind of now the people I like to deal with, and the people that are not as easy to deal with. I can only think of 1 team that I dont like to deal with due to past issues, but everyone else is fairly easy. Some more than others of course. I just love Biatchs way of trading, its out there, and I love it as a competitor. If Dan had traded with Bob, I wouldnt have minded, because at least I know Dan got back good value, and took something off Bobs team. Its when lopsided deals are made that I kind of lose it. :)

If anyone is curious, I wont mention the team I dont like, but my fav trading part in either pool is Dubey. I have made many deals with him, and it seems like we are always having a quick, frank discussion and getting a deal done pretty easily. I always walk away thinking my team got better, and he always seems happy with the deal too. I dont know what he thinks of me, but its a little funny how easy it is for me to deal with him, and I cant say that about a lot of people even in my other pools. lol

If there was a gold medal for most persistent, creative, easy to communicate trading partner my vote goes to Dale.

He is tough but fair.
