I think there needs to be a small white truck parked next to the scene of the accident, watching but not participating.

How was the crowd for The Lovely Bones?

That's how I felt when I saw Gangs of New York, followed closely by City of God. DDL is fantastic in Gangs, but the movie didn't do much for me. City Of God though, that's the real thing.     I don

Brv, you really should watch it, I think you'll like it. I thought it was very good overall and included one of the best male performances I've seen in a movie. Pornography notwithstanding. Shake you should watch it too.

Take Shelter had a lot of good performances in it, but the movie as a whole wasn't amazing. I'm happy I watched it, but won't watch it again any time soon.

I could look at her for hours and not even want to get up for food or something. she really is incredibly attractive.

BridesmaidsVery funny; much more vicious and nasty than I expected, which is a good thing; lots of decent gags and situations; lost in the shuffle is a very good melancholy performance by Kristen Wiig, who looked pretty hawt.7.5/10Tree of Life, part 1Yeah, just "part 1", because after more than an hour of admittedly beautiful imagery, very little dialogue or linear narrative, I just got bored and watched HGTV instead. Fine, it's a work of art and the challenges of making a movie like this are many, but it's just such a "personal vision" movie and tried to represent the meaning of life and that is pretty tough to do and keep people interested.5-8/10

Take Shelter lost me after the part where they literally took shelter. I didn't like where the story went after that moment and the ending, it sucked.

saw moneyball few months ago, great movie, really liked it.saw project x recently too. absolutely terrible movie. the start is basically just copied from superbad and it totally lacks originality. the movie itself doesn't really have any storyline or depth except for when they try to add in the 'unrequited love of the childhood friend that's a girl angle', which was frankly pretty bad and it would've been better if they just didn't bother and just let the movie be what it was. on a good note, it is worth watching if you want to go party and the soundtrack is pretty good. from an artistic point of view though, one of the worst films for a while.

Finished Tree of LifeI will say that it's one hell of a great looking movie and the editing is very innovative and evocative of life experience. this type of narrative doesn't work all that well for me. I don't need a linear story, nor do I require simplicity, but I found this movie played like a dream, almost. Or memories. Some stuff really caught me, but most of it was kind of snooze-inducing.It's still something worth watching at least once. I found it's pacing and style to be most related to 2001: A Space Oddysey. There could be less flattering comparisons, I suppose, but there is little question that Malick is an adept filmmaker, though he lacks cohesion in the story-telling department.Keep an eye out for the 6 hour Director's Cut.Tree of Life Director's Cut?

Tin TinI loved this movie. Action packed and funny the whole way through. I'm not sure if it made enough money in order for there to be a sequel, but I would love to see another installment. I'm disappointed that I didn't see it in 3d at the theater.

11:40, Personal note: When I was a little kid my mother told me not to stare into the sun, so once when I was six, I did. At first the brightness was overwhelming, but I had seen that before. I kept looking, forcing myself not to blink, and then the brightness began to dissolve. My pupils shrunk to pinholes and everything came into focus and for a moment I understood.

Hunger games: excellent. Better than the book in my opinion.
Initial response: What? It's almost exactly the book. But the more I think about it, the more I think you're right. Everything that was good about the book made it onto the screen, but all the fluff was cut. It's a crisper version of the book. The casting was done right too. Jennifer Lawrence and Woody Harrelson nailed it.

man I've seen a lot of movies and forgotten to post about them here. oops. let me think: young adult - interesting but pretty disturbing and not exactly "enjoyable." then "in good company" which was... basically watchable. nothing special. and now looking back at my netflix list, that's been it since I last posted in here. sorry to get you excited. did watch drive again though, and it was still awesome. and god DAMN that carey mulligan is adorable.

Damsels in DistressMan, did I love Metropolitan. I really wanted this to be a good movie, but it looks like crap (seriously direct to video crap) and it's pretty twee. Maybe it's a rental if you have a thing for Greta Gerwig.

ImmortalsI thought it was going to be awful, I'm not sure why I rented it. It wasn't that bad but it also wasn't good enough where I would recommend it to anyone. I did think Mickey Rourke did a good job as the bad guy though.Hunger GamesI really liked it. My complaints are miniscule, like

Haymitch should have been more drunk and they could have done a better job explaining why people were revolting and why the government was so upset afterwards.

But overall I think it was great.I didn't have any issues with the main characters not showing emotion which some critics complained about. I actually got the chills in some of the scenes. In particular the part where Jennifer Lawrence is brought up the tube before entering the arena.
