The Ocho 970
Does alcohol go bad? I have a couple bottles of Gin (those mentioned above) that probably have a total of three drinks poured out of them that are at least 7 years old. Years ago I full stocked my bar, and I pretty don't drink 80% of what I have.
Roll the Bones 74
Oh, I know all about fires...We just tell unsuspecting guests that the dish is "smoked"That excuse works well on most items like ham, turkey, chicken, etc...What really raises eyebrows is when the coleslaw and deserts come out with the identical "flavoring"We as a family are accustomed to it, though... after years of eating her breakfast I still slip up and order hashblacks in commercial establishments......and the kid spent many a school day afternoon in the principals office for heading to the cafeteria instead of outside during fire drills hahaprobably gonna need to get me another bottle of gin today. been on tanqueray to start but thinking about switching it up for variety. anybody have any recommendations?maybe I'll get some other type of liquor too! I am on vacation after all!The correct answer is BourbonDoes alcohol go bad? ShakeZuma 585
I'm sure that beans has never even come close to being able to figure out that question.ok so I just watched the first episode of season seven of it's always sunny. not to give too much away, but the scene with charlie and frank in the limo... I laughed so hard that my throat now hurts pretty bad.
Dread Aidan 8
It doesn't go bad. Unless you've got stuff floating around in it. But then I don't think it's the age you're worried about.Hey VB or LLY, is this what working in a lab is like?
Napa_Don 688
OH, hey, VB...I was at a "party" this weekend and got to talking to a dude who works at USC. He does shit with helping people get over PTSD using virtual reality and stuff. He also is doing some project with a reporter friend where they recreated an incident at some food bank using "second life" and motion capture to create some immersive scene that got accepted into Sundance. I think his name was Bradley or something. You or your wife know him? I thought about asking if he knew you but didn't feel like explaining why I would know you, etc.

Sickinfo2 291
Beer won't last long at room temp and higher. Wine eventually turns to vinegar if the cork dries outThe rest depends on the sugar content. Stuff like moonshine and shnapps turn to syrup... Quicker if openedBourbon would prob last an eternity. I have a fairly large collection of the stuff my uncle bought before I was born. Still take a whang of it from time to time. Forty year old cheap stuff tastes better than the single barrel of todayJust don't ever drink anything from the proabition era... It turns into some sort of shellac that's deadly. Seriously. It's funny because he is illiterate.I got a lot of mileage out of, "At least it wasn't singular, which would have sounded a lot worse. Happy Hanukkah, JEW!"Does alcohol go bad? strategy 4
I had this idea just now in the showerI can't browse FCP at work, and I always have stuff to say about the hundreds of business news articles I read per day, but I never put in the effort to find the articles again after I get home. so, let's harness this at-work work ethic and get an old fashioned proxy going with a post in the politics forum like "emails from strategy"PM me your email if you want to do it
JubilantLankyLad 1,957
Yeah, I enjoyed that scene. The season is pretty hit or miss...the Chardee MacDennis episode is gold, shakey, gold!I've been meaning to mention it for a while now; this season has been pretty disappointing to me so far, but this episode was one of their best ever. It hit a little close to home though.
brvheart 1,752
It's going to be near impossible for them to ever make anohtpther episode as good as the Christmas episode or the gang buys a boat episode, so this whole season has been a step down from the last two seasons. I think I might have actually disliked the class reunion episodes, which might be a first for me. I can't remember actively disliking any episode in a previous season. ShakeZuma 585
I've finished the first 4 so far, and the main thing I've noticed is that something seems to be "off" with the directing. like the lighting is different, or they're using more camera angles, something. it doesn't "feel" the same. they've also gotten a lot more outrageous with the story lines (the jersey shore one). I mean, it's still hilarious, but I feel like they need to get back to basics or something, keep it simple you know?and speedz, I'll look for that but I don't think I've ever seen it before. doubt they'll have it at our liquor store. might have to go to the big city to find it. Napa_Don 688
I think the pinnacle of Sunny was "the night man cometh" episode. Doesn't get much better than that.
mk 11
I find there to be a bigger jump in noticable quality from $10 to $25 than from $25 to $100.If you talk to winemakers who actually make wine they'll tell you it's pretty much impossible to make a bottle of wine for less than $20 unless you resort to using chemicals, cheating the process, using low-quality grapes and yeast, etc.I find the biggest jump in noticeable quality to be from $300 to $400-MKNah, it's more like the jump from $200 to $500. An '82 Chateau Beausejour Becot will change your fucking life, whereas e.g. an '03 Bellevue Mondotte St Emilion will seem pedestrian by comparison.

Doesn't get much better than that.do you mean the original nightman/dayman episode (i.e. dee dates a retarded person) or the one with the play? my very favorites are the original dayman episode and the full on rapist scene. that scene alone is probably the funniest thing I've ever seen in anything.Nah, it's more like the jump from $200 to $500. mk 11
If you're looking for some evidence of $10 wine sucking ass relative to $25 wine, find a bottle of Burgess Cab or Ransom Pinot and compare to appropriate $10 stuff. Both have decent enough distribution that you should be able to find them at any place with a good wine selection.

I thought it was the locations, which were strangely outlandish, and when they returned to Paddy's for Chardee McDennis everything returned to form. I see no reason for that. but I just went back to a few old episodes and I did notice that they used to stick to one camera angle a lot longer, or use just one for full scenes, or something like that, and I think they're getting away from that. least it seems like it. could be off. didn't like the pageant episode really at all. think that one was like that a lot.
