HollywoodAFD 0
We take our 6 - 0 start on a friggin tough road trip.Orioles...can't believe the good start they are having..Then to the Tigers where it seems we always play poorly for some reason...Then to the Yanks who reeeeeaaaaaalllly hate us after getting served in the playoffs last season.Outscored opps 42 - 20 so far but runs are going to be tough to get in Baltimore.9 games.... I'll take a 5 - 4 and be pretty dang happy.

Matt Harrison is pitching better than ever so if we can just hang on for Hunter and some other healthy pitchers.... could be a fun season.

Great play by the catcher to realize nobody was covering home and reacted fast.

Great play by the catcher to realize nobody was covering home and reacted fast.He set up a play where both Josh and the catcher would be running to the plate at full speed, and could well have arrived at the same moment. That didn't even happen (a major collision), and still the play was so awkward that Hamilton had to slide headfirst to have any chance at scoring. It was way too aggressive, especially for the top of the first inning. Of course it wasn't 100% the fault of the 3rd base coach - it was also simply an accident. Interesting note: I'm pretty sure the Detroit 1b fell asleep on that play. He should be covering home there, shouldn't he?
Skeleton Jelly 2
You can argue that the 3rd base coach was being too aggressive trying to score there, but to say that he put him in a dangerous situation seems silly to me.

I watched it again and still have to say that it was just a freak accident. When he made the call to send him...it appeared that Josh could easily outrun ANYONE to the plate.Anyhoooo... Hey Yankees... how ya like us now ? !I would rather beat the Yankees once in New York than sweep any other team.

HollywoodAFD 0
Can't blame a guy for that every once in awhile We all like doing that.... as much as possible... maybe not while on national TV thoughSeriously, who didn't think Hamilton was gonna be hurt at some point this season? May as well get it over with. This is the most accurate statement since the Earth cooled. He was moved from center field because he would likely be running more (and get hurt).... he get's sick more than anyone else in baseball (possibly due to a low immune system because of all the cocaine) ... he dives for balls that he shouldn't (did it last year and separated his shoulder).. It was inevitable !I just didn't like his comments right after it....as if he actually thought at the time "Coach...this is a bad idea...I could get hurt."Well... guess what.... it's a sport.... athletes get hurt. That's why you get paid MILLIONS (he makes nearly 9 MILLION this year) to play a game.*stepping down*
