rose, berating players in chat is a tad immature. why have you been doing that so much lately? ever since you won your pca seat you've been attacking people and coming off as really arrogant. i understand that you're a much improved player, but that doesn't give you the right to come off as condescending.

Rose wasn't the guilty party this time. The Russian was being an ass and taunting people after she beat them....and what she was doing in one case did look like chip dumping to the other Russian.

Then report it to pokerstars and let them deal with it? Is it really necessary to continually berate players? What is that going to prove?

Donk4 trying playing these women for a week or two and see if you can keep you mouth/fingers shut/still. It isn't easy but I agree it's necessary. These women's game are going to cause me to need a shrink or at least a poker mindset coach.I copied this from the Atlanta Poker Club forum and it's good advice that hope I can adhere to:Stop antagonizing the weaker players!!!There are no good reasons to be prick and many good reasons NOT to.Why you should: It satisfies your immediate selfish desire to vent your frustration. This is not a good reason. If you can't control your emotions enough to take a bad beat or someone's bad play gracefully, then perhaps you don't have the decorum to be going out by yourself. Why you shouldn't:It causes them to play better. If you point out to them the fact that they are playing badly, then they might try to improve their game and therefore makes it much more difficult for me to get their chips. It causes them to play tighter. If you berate someone, humiliating them publicly, they are likely going to draw into their own little shell and stop splashing around, making it more difficult for me to get their chips. It makes you (and by extension, the APC) look like an *******. There is no reason for any adult to allow the actions of someone else to cause them to change their behavior. Obviously there are exceptions to this but you know what I mean.It damages the APCWhen the new players don't want to come back or tell their friends to come out, it makes it much more difficult for us to keep the venues we have and/or expand into new venues for you to play...and for me to get their chipsIt alerts other less attentive players to the fact that there is a weak player at the table. If you're the only one who's noticed the weak player, you're the most likely person to benefit from this knowledge. Keep it to yourself and nobody will be aware of what an advanced level of player you are. If you REALLY are a good player, do you want to hip the rest of the table to this fact?If you feel that you are truly a superior player to anyone at the table, shut up. Why? Because you DO NOT want them to improve their game. If you are truly a better player than them, sit quietly and take their chips. Don't alert anyone to the fact that you know WTF you're doing or even more importantly what they're doing. It makes you look like the weaker player by showing that you can be tilted. It's bad etiquette and bad manners. Don't do it.EWLast edited by EvilWeenie; 11-24-2010 at 03:53 PM..

Yeah I watched Rose last night and there was no berating at all, just called out the two russians for talking during a hand. GG Rose.
thx honey
Gg roseI prolly would of berated there play tolol
thx looshle, I guess I am at the stage were I want other women to excel and do better in this game and also learn by not playing ace rags, or other junk OOP. But I have to agree with Lisa too, not to educate the donkeys, which I have been doing even in my blogs. As for the two Russians. I did notify PokerStars and they agreed they broke rule #20 I provided the hand history which showed the chat in it. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We agree that these comments were inappropriate and violated PokerStars Card Room rule #20 which states: “You may not make any chat comments which may affect the play of any hand or tournament, even if you are an observer. There are two exceptions to this rule: 1. In cash game hands which are heads up (everyone else has folded, or the hand started with two players) the two players involved may chat as they wish. 2. In tournaments which are heads up (everyone else has been knocked out of the tournament, or the tournament started with two players), the two players involved may chat as they wish.” Our complete set of Card Room Rules can be found here: http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/policies/. Although many of our players are not aware of all proper poker rules and etiquette, this player has now been warned about this incident. We will take further action if the player breaches our rules again. The help of vigilant players like yourself is vital in policing our site. We greatly appreciate your assistance in maintaining the integrity of our games. If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know.Regards,LarryPokerStars Support TeamThank you for your email. The integrity of our games is of utmost importance to PokerStars, and weemploy a large team of Poker Specialists who investigate all collusionreports received from our players. We have forwarded your email to a Poker Specialist for review. They willundertake an extensive investigation into any relationship and past playbetween these players. Please allow them some time to research this issue asit may take several days if the case is particularly complex. You will receive a response with the results of our investigation as soon aspossible.Should you have further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate tocontact us again.Regards,Carlos MPokerStars Support Team

There you go, simple e-mail sufficed. No need to hang around at the end of the tournament and berate the player who won (and yes you did berate the player after the tournament was over)whatever honey
I most likely did, but calling that other girl after her game a fish more that once, was out of line. Especially when that other girl is a solid or good player. That other girl was also in very deep and Final tabled the other event that Lisa was in. I also stand by my friends as well, as I would back up most here if they are right. There are players I really do respect in that game, and a few I did not. It comes down to donking off, treating others with respect, and playing the best. Maybe I have learned not to make calls with ace rags OOP or, other crap calls other girls can learn that too. Ian I don't consider myself a good player but I try to learn the best way I know how. Dixie also has a point not to teach the donkeys the right way to play. Well in my blogs I have given tips, hoping other women will excel as well.I guess I also expect better play and players at the $55 level. But I am glad your perfect and don't make mistakes, you seem to always point out the bad in me. :club:

sigh rose i'm not trying to do that. i berate players as well and hate myself for it after. you're one of the better players in that league, i just believe you should keep quiet and play your game. if you get unlucky, oh well, you'll get them next time. if you think they're violating the rules, report them and move on. You don't want to be the woman everyone hates in that league.

Here's some advice for you Rose.Never ever ever comment on how another player is playing at the table. If somebody is playing poorly you don't want to comment on it since you want that bad player's experience to be a happy one so that they enjoy themselves and come back and play again. Also whenever you make a comment you're giving your opponents information about how you think and a good opponent can learn from that and use it against you. Also, never defend your own play in the chat if somebody criticizes your play. If does no good as it again reveals your thought process and chat wars can make the game less enjoyable for players who are there to have fun.

here an interesting thing that happen to me Friday Night as I was coming home from playing poker at Seneca across the border and shopping.Customs asked if I had more than $10,000 to declare in cash wins or gifts.I guess any winnings over that need to be declared. She said they do not tax you on it right there but it depends later on when filing your taxes. Most winnings she stated are tax free, however again what is classified as winnings and poker depends on your professional status if your are making a living at it. So my question, Bob if you might know, being a recreational player and not a pro player, If I won at the PCA would I be deem as a Pro then and be taxed. Also considering that poker is not my field of profession as nursing is.?Dreaming lol, that I would win it or at least cash.Had another interview with Stars on Saturday and one of there questions they asked me was this one.4) How do you plan to handle playing against big time pros like Vanessa Rousso or others who might be seated at your table?5) You must have some daydreams of what you would do with the money if you won the tournament. Can you share some of those thoughts with us?I was talking to the writer who had done the 4 previous blogs about me and she told me that they are considering putting me on the feature table. I thought table section was done randomly, via a computer or something.
