CaneBrain 95
Epic choke.I could see blowing a 35 pt lead to a good team.....but to the Kings???
leftygolfer 7
On Dec. 24, 2001, Tim Floyd was ousted as the Bulls coach. On Dec. 24, 2007, Scott Skiles was fired as the Bulls coach. Dec 24th, 2009 ?They still owe Skiles $$ from his firing. Paying 2 coaches isn't in Reisndorf's schema.I think they will just let him and the team flounder and regroup for the upcoming free agent free for all this summer.John Paxson sure has disappeared. Suited_Up 2
John Paxson sure has disappeared. That's cause he's not the actual GM anymore, Gar Foreman is. Pretty sure he did that just so he could stay further behind the scenes.Either way, reports out yesterday saying that the decision has been made to fire Vinny, but they want to find a real replacement first. Which is a good idea if true, because your floundering theory would be really bad for attracting free agents, and so would keeping Vinny around.

FCP Bob 1,312
The Charlotte Bobcats have reached an agreement in principle to acquire Chicago Bulls forward Tyrus Thomas(notes) for Acie Law(notes), Flip Murray(notes) and a future first-round pick, sources said.So basically a first round pick for Thomas as Law and Muarry are expiring contracts. Suited_Up 2
Yeah, I'm super excited. I believe this puts them about 25mil under the cap for the offseason. Only thing that would've helped more was to move Hinrich, but that is just impossible to do with 18mil/2yrs left on his contract. Plus Hakim Warrick will probably step and be a better version of Tyrus anyway. This is almost the ideal situation they were trying to get done for like a year now. Just gotta make sure to get one of the big guys now. You gotta figure even though the Knicks may have the most free money available, the Bulls have the better situation for a guy to step into. I hope it matters.

I like this Hakim guy.Thomas and Warrick are totally different players.Thomas has a chance to be a way above average defensive player while Warrick has a chance to be featured on a lot of posters.Warrick is really really bad on defense. Suited_Up 2
We have defense, we need some offense from that position. But "totally" different is a stretch I think. Also, the ref's were atrocious last night. Completely gayed us out of a win against a Wizards team with nobody I've even heard of... They literally called traveling 3 possessions in a row at one point. I'd need replays, but pretty sure 2 of them were complete BS, especially with the stuff people get away with. 3 in a row!! Warrick has some pretty good offensive skills and is a pretty good offensive rebounder but sucks on defense while the strength of Thomas is on defense. No shame in losing to Washington right now. They've won 4 of their last 6 including wins over Denver and Orlando and in their 2 losses they played Charlotte and the Raptors tough. They have some live bodies who with the increased minutes available are going to want to show something.
JoeyJoJo 18
Warrick sucks on defense. You know what I find interesting?I have no memory of Warrick in the NBA. I can't recall ever watching him play. But when you guys started talking about how he's bad at defense, I was shocked. If you asked me to describe Warrick (having never seen him play in the NBA) I think I would've defaulted to a Tayshaun Prince type. That's probably based on two things:One - body type. Two - It's a very basketball-famous play and I just automatically carry that bias with me.But...isn't there some theory about Syracuse players taking a while to develop defensively because they play zone exclusively in college? Obviously he has the athleticism, maybe he just needs more time playing man.
Suited_Up 2
I never remember him either, until he got here and had a nice game.Including this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4dr5dMsBUYPlus Stacey King is hilarious.
