TrueAce13 18
You have to raise the turn. Why are we just flatting there? You need to raise some point in this hand. Get value!!!!

MovingIn 0
I'll go a step farther: raise the flop. Your set is probably good but there's a FD on board and if you call, anyone yet to call who's on a FD is getting a good price to see the next card. But as played, once we fill up on the turn I can see staying slow with our betting to keep our customers. But we ought to make some sort of raise for value. Since the turn lead was rather small, and since the board plus our flop call as played disguises our boat, we'll probably see a reasonably sized raise get called by either FD, which we're obviously not worried about.UTG+1 really helped you get value on the river by leading for a sizable amount, as did button when he overcalled. Got a bit lucky there, as I think that's as much value as you could have extracted... unless of course somebody turned over A8 or AA. That would suck.

GUGA KUERTEN 0
Yeah I know I should raise the flop, this is really the main mistake in this hand I think. Raise the flop and if I get reraised I can go allin knowing I have the best hand but then the turn hits the A and now i can be against A7 or A8 with the stacks so deep in these tournaments people is limping with this type of hands.RAISE THE FLOP!!! outsider13 0
Checking the flop isn't that bad imo, but I probably would with straight & flush draws. Once the board pairs, I'm going broke with this hand. Get it in!!!!! Your hand is VERY underrepped.
BrandonSmith 0
Here is how I would have played the hand.On the flop, I would definately raise the flop for a few reason. 1. Getting my money into the pot when I am confident I have the best hand. 2. If my opponent has a pair of aces, another diamond (or even a 6 or a 9) would be a scare card for them, and would likely shut down my chances for more money. 3. If they are drawing, I don't want to give them a free chance to draw out on me.On the turn, I would definately have to rely on my opponents tendencies, and if my hand reading abilities are any good that day. If my opponent is aggressive, I would let them do the betting. They may assume that ace is a bad card for me and either bet because if they had a pair of aces, it is now a set of aces, or they may try to bluff me, misinterpreting the check for weakness. If my opponent is passive and call a lot, or if I feel they are on a draw, I would raise, but I would keep it small enough so that they are convinced to call if they are on a draw. I don't want to scare them away, I want the most money I can get, and when they fold I don't get their money. The best case would be that a diamond hits on the river and they have a great flush that is second place to my full house. Because of the small bet on the turn, I may get all of your opponenets chips on the river. On the river, I would bet or raise and hope that I get called, or raised. If I get raised I'm going all in.This is just one idea of how someone could play this hand. Anyone, let me know if this makes any sense. I am just getting to know the game of poker, and I am not sure if my ideas and thought process are out of wack.
HighwayStar 8
Question. Would it be competely donkish to raise river? No, however at least raising the turn (or possibly the flop) makes this hand way easier to play and extract value from. Shovelling is a nice way to play riversince it looks like you might be turning your hand into a bluff and you're always getting paid by any spazzy ace (which it looks like he might have). Checking the flop isn't that bad imo, but I probably would with straight & flush draws. Once the board pairs, I'm going broke with this hand. Get it in!!!!! yinzerr 0
I would most likely 3x bet the flop to 450. if both called flop raise I would pot the turn and shove to a raise or just shove the river anyway. The way it was played. Seeing how not only you called the flop you MUST raise that turn bet. Prob pop it to 600. Then put in the pot on the river and call any shove.

My excuse is I don't remember posting it.But yea...raise the flop or turn or both. Just raise.I'd prob shove river as played.

Mercury69 3
If someone is in that hand with A7 or A4 they should be shot, so you might as well hang in there and, if you feel shaky, play it safe and just call, like you did.
