i don't know if you guys are all aware of this, but the game we play is ****ing retarded. and i'm stuck again (that you're probably aware of) due to daring to play a 15BB/100 loser HU who runs at a solid 75/50 at 6m.

At least he's opening 50%. Tougher than 70/4 I would think.

You can get all of a 75/50's money faster...ideally.Maybe we should play NL where we can get it all at once.

ive had like two losing sessions in the past 5k hands. you should learn how to run like me.
i've had one in the last 10k. but it was a doozy :club:.the thing is that i'm actually really improving my play to a ridiculous degree, honestly, but it's causing my originally high variance to go up even further, and i'm still having to work a lot on the mental stability necessary to not lose 8 brazillion dollars when it's not going so well. the 50BB comeback yesterday, despite the huge loss anyway, and the 110BB upswing today after a 90BB downswing, seem to indicate that i'm doing well in that regard, but the final jury's still out, i think.

Same deal as last night. If anyone wants to play me HU, I'll give 50% of anything you lose back to you. But you have to post any mistakes I make and I reserve the right to refuse any action I don't like.

i think that's a fold preflop unless the guy is just berserking his hands postflop.

i correctly called him down with A high early in the session & he had been getting progressively crazier as things proceeded. he was raising every hand pf at this point & cb'ing almost all. does that make a difference? i was picking & choosing hands for the most part, this felt like one i could speculate on & get away from easily if needed.

fwiw, what you're looking for when you're considering flatting a raise in position with a speculative type hand isn't so much straight up cb%, but rather your opponent's willingness to severely overplay his hand on the big bet streets. if you were that certain that 45 was good for four bets on the turn and river, this is one such spot, but if his line is more often 1010 or 99, even including the tilt factor, then i'm not sure that calling pre is that great of an idea.

shipped 10 to dink once I finally got over my mouse tilt. wireless went completely dead when I threw it out the wall adn I had to DIG like a goddamn miner to find my old school wired up mouse.
I just had to buy a mouse this afternoon.
When thrown against the wall the Microsoft Wireless Laptop Mouse will usually break into 3 or 4 easily reassembled pieces and will usually do this 5 or 6 times before it stops working.I bought 3 more of them on a Boxing Day Sale for $15 each so I'm good for a few months.

I have never broken anything while or as a result of playing poker. Does that put me in the minority?

My mouse purchase is 100% not tilt-related, and is in fact cat-accident-related.

The only thing I've ever broke from poker was my toe. I was at a live tournament, and I forget the exact details, but I had a large chip stack and I gut busted on the bubble by the co-chip leader lady, who I don't think had ever played before.... she'd limped under the gun, I had aces in the big blind, a late position player went all in ( with ace king, I thnk) I pushed with aces, which was a huge over raise, and she insta called with A3 of clubs. Flopped a flush obv. Anyway, I was furious, and I stormed out of the poker room, and kicked a stone collumn. Now, normally, when I play poker, I almost always wear these heavy duty, water proof, Danner work boots ( that I've had for like 8 years, and that are so water proof that i've walked in the medeterian see with them on and my feet stayed bone dry. This boots are probably my favorite material possession. If you ever need work boots, I highly recomend Danner, my boots are still great ( granted, I haven't done much "work" in them, but still) ). These boots are heavy duty, and while not steal toed, exactly, I commonly kicked things like walls when I was frustrated. Well, that day, for some reason, I wasn't wearing my boots, but instead wearing my slip on slipper type shoes, which had basically no toe protection. I kicked the column with the toe of my foot ,and it hurt so god damn badly, and I hairline fractured my big toe. So.. I learned a lesson that day about punching and kicking and breaking things in poker anger, and I really haven't done it since.

Isn't this a paradox of sorts? The people you are not going to give action to are going to be the ones that will be able to best analyze your play and point out mistakes

let me solve his paradox for you. His internet has been acting up of late, so he doesn't want to play for real money and he is trying to help lower limit players with their game, not play higher limit players to help with his. I also think that he meant to say " you must post any mistakes you make", as that was the deal when he and I played heads up a couple days ago. The people I think he would refuse are random people who don't post much in the thread, like, say, a potential higher stakes opponent that wants insight into his game.
