Yah it's not ideal but I'm building without much of a start and only playin .25/.50 with partial winnings on the week.January is a lil skewed because I started off really badly and brought it back in the last couple of weeks as I got the ball rolling.

This right here explains why (imo) I'll never be a "grinding" winner at poker. For the time it takes me to play 15k hands trying to make $150, I'd rather just come in to work for an 8-hour shift and make twice that much in one day.Don't take this the wrong way, I really respect you guys that have the discipline to put in the time and effort, but to my way of thinking, it's just not worth it. I'd bet if you spent the same amount of time every month just walking the streets lookingfor loose change, you could earn about the same amount of profit...lol
I can understand where your coming from up to a point but there may be the odd thing you haven't considered.I don't know what you do in your 8-hour shift to make $300 and it really doesn't matter if you know what I do in my 8-hour shift to make a lot less than that. The point is how you feel about what you do, and as it stands I'd rather do the 15k hands than spend one more minute in my job than I absolutely have to.It could also be said that there are those who would view you playing 30-50 tournaments to increase yor roll by only $400 as pretty much the same thing to me playing 15k hands to make $150 especially as you can make $300 in an 8-hour shift. I guess it depends on your viewpoint and the levels your playing at.I had always assumed that people who post goals like mine and yours are as Rgold79 says planning to move up when they can and learn from the experience as they do it.You are entitled to your opinion and I'm always happy to hear peoples thoughts and I hope that I have been able to clarify matters. :club:

Get my personal roll restarted, as being staked really sucks.Try to really work on my SHLHE, as that's where my mood is taking me right now.I'm thinking around 4k hands with any positive BB/100 rate :club:

It's really unbelievable how bad im doing at 5/10 and how good im doing at 10/20 and 15/30.-0.4BB/100 at 5/10 over 35k hands+3BB/100 at 10/20 and 15/30 over 15k handsNot that im upset - im doing quite well in terms of dollars. In terms of bets, this is my worst stretch ever by far.0.5BB/100 over 60k hands across all stakes.

Well my Goals were January failed miserably. School and vacation messed it up. I hit around 500 to the 1000 i wanted. PRetty pathetic! I really want to win another MTT. My plan is to get to 1000 then maybe 1500 if possible.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it's b/c he's a nit who likes to play way over-rolled.

Ok, my goals for Jan were:-End the month at $300Current BR: $125-FT a 4.40 180 manMade three. 7th, 8th, 9th-ROI at a decent number.Um, I think it's between 10-15%-Post more hands in Tourn. Strat.I did, but at the Pokerhaus.I did OK, but my BR definitely doesn't reflect that. I had a couple bad days after one of my FTs, which hurt. For Feb.:-End the month @ $400-FT and make the top 3 of a 4.40-Stop being lazy and play.-Move up to $6.50 turbo SNGs fulltime.

Just quit playing 5/10. The rake structure's terrible. If you're just getting normal rakeback now instead of 99% or whatever you had before, you'll probably make a better long-term winrate playing 10/20 and higher.

Haven't posted in one of these threads yet, but I'm joining the bandwagon. My goals this month are more psychological than anything else. My biggest goal is just to stop letting results affect me so much. I need to not feel terrible after a losing session, and on a related note, I need to be able to quit playing while behind. Also, I need to cut out the over-aggressive tilt that often occurs at the tail end of a losing session. I just need to mantain my confidence back, especially live.On the topic of live play, another goal is to put more hours in live, as i need to get better aquainted with the nuances and physical tells associated with it. With online poker's questionable future, getting more live experience seems like a good idea.Oh, and I also want to end the month ahead.

really I have found Tribeca to be really soft. This is NL though. You wouldn't happen to be Danny G on tribeca would you?
nope. i do have an account at tribeca, but haven't used it recently. i vaguely remember a Danny G there, and its not me.

you suck. interestingly, my winrate has gone up about 0.5bb/100 since i left AP, and i attribute it to never getting run over by you :club:

10/20 and 15/30 ... even better still. 3.3BB/100 overall.5/10 is at -.35BB/100.

Getting about 70% rb right now, and may be getting that bumped to about 90% in the near future. I still made quite a bit at 5/10 over those hands. Net of everything, about 1.2BB/100 in the black.

I am DONE playing cash games at Stars. I'd cash my roll out but I'm too stubborn. From now on I will destroy their $10--- 1 and 2 table SnG's. If anyone catches me playing cash games there I will ship them $50 or whatever is left of my money if its under $50, which is more likely since Stars if ****ing RIGGED!!!!!sn: Glrd Focker (pic is Apu from Simpsons)Rant over. Current roll: $400 and dropping.

january.januarysitngo.pngjanuarycash.pngwhat is that, about +$1100? it sure didn't feel like that. i know i donked off about $250 playing LOLOLO8, but not sure about the rest. oh i know, i poured a couple hundred into my piece of **** car and i deposited $200 at the 3/6 tables at casino windsor (i'm also down $120 in 16s so far this month)uggggggh i don't/can't play enough. ulnar palsy sucks.goals for february:play 1200-2400 16s and 27s to get to platinum star, i can autopilot/12 table at 10% ROI, so that would be ~$3500 in profit i think. i already blew the FT of a 22/180, (7th, overpushed 77 from the BB into AA in a button/SB/BB situation) that would have started february off on the right foot.

My jan MGR was significantly higher than i thought it would be despite the supposed change in AP rakeback to contributed. As it turns out, i made an extra $1,300 in rakeback which bumps me over the 14k mark for the month. :club:
