CardWarfare 4 Posted December 2, 2006 Share Posted December 2, 2006 FINALLY I get in on the ground floor of one of these "goals" threads!Well, as of last friday, I started a "$1 Challenge" In the same vein as what Chris Ferguson did a while back. He started with a buck, and worked his way up through the micro limits, practiced strict bankroll management, and eventually wound up with something ridiculous like 20kAfter 1 week, I turned $1 into $60 and change, and I'm pretty happy with my play and progress thus far. I've been playing primarily limit poker, LO8, Stud Hi, and Stud 8. I took a shot at a HORSE game tonight, and logged a big win. I built the original dollar up in the penny NL games, and from then moved to the micro LO8 and stud games. My December goal is to reach $300 in my $1 Challenge. Link to post Share on other sites

I could conceivably finish it off by the year end. There're about 60k hands so far in it... doing even better than i am on the one shown above. KDawgCometh 2 Posted December 3, 2006 Share Posted December 3, 2006 there's gotta be someone out there who trusts our games. what really killed my roll was a real long breakeven stretch and then a small win stretch when I had to pay a lot of bills and rent. Those months where I'd be up like 1K or 2K would turn into breakeven months or losing months because of rent and the such. I was telling wang, in one of my DBs for short LHE, I was a 1.7 BB 100 winner over 115K hands(and my WR would've been higher if my DB didn't get corrupted and I lost like 30K hands of a sick 3.5 BB/100 heater at 3/6 and 5/10). My other DB I was a .7 BB/100 winner over 120K hands at short LHE. I don't want to talk about me turning into a limidonk at NL over the past 2 months. My FYP of your post was in semi jest for me, I'm just obscenely frustrated with everything Link to post Share on other sites

I did dip into my credit a little bit when I just had to bet on UCLA today and didn't want to touch my Stars balance, but my active BR's back up over $2600. I'm up $300 or so on sports bets this month, a little over 5 buy-ins at 1/2 PLO and turned some of my remaining FPPs into $470 by winning a satellite and a SnG. After moving up too fast and failing so many times lately, I'm going to be staying at my current levels for quite a while now, and as long as I don't run bad here and go back into the danger zone, I should be using much better BR management in the future. My goals for December are...1) Play 20 180's, Final Table at least 4 or 5, win one, at least two top threes.2) Play $1/2 6max and show at least 4bb/100 winrate.3) Increase bankroll to 1500-2000 from current 900.4) Stop withdrawing every time I win a 180, to assist with goal #3...lol5) Satellite in to, and PLAY, the Sunday Million. It will probably be Tuesday before I get started on there, so I'll have about 3 weeks to play full time in December, once I take out my studying days, etc. So, I'd like to play about 25k hands, at least. I think I can do more, but I'm not too sure about how I'll be able to handle a ton of hours playing LHE. I'll prolly be able to do a lot more, if the tables are available. Maybe.Anywho. I'd like to win at 1.0 BB/100, but I'll be happy if I start off breaking even for the first bit, due to the tightness of the games at AP. I've got 28% RB and a $750 deposit bonus as well to back me up.I'll be starting at 1/2 LHE, full ring mostly, moving up to 2/4 when the roll supports it.I won't get into the backing agreement I have, but the goal will be to get to about 2600 as quickly as possible, including bonus and rakeback. I think I should be able to do this by the end of the month, when my rb profit is included, and I think that'd be pretty close to breaking even at the tables, depending on my rakeback figure.Anywho, feels good to be back in the game, and I'm looking forward to playing at AP and getting back into full ring limit.*******Also, I just won a 5400 FPP sat sng to the Sunday Mill, so I'll be using the T$ to have a small MTT roll on Stars.
