Alright I am married with a kid now, but can I be in this new crew if I provide hookers for all the house mates on a monthly basis. Because it looks like those guys are getting about as much sex as me, and unfortunately that ain't much. Did I mention that I am married with a kid.Hammer - He is a pastor and an idiot. I have been by his 10 million dollar mansion in Fremont, CA. It has since been sold, but it used to have Hammer Time with a big hammer in gold on the front gate. I think he put 20 mil in that place and sold it for like 6.

Any of you think these two guys are happy? Fark, I hate materialism. That house just reeks with agony to me. They have no life, no nothing. They just dont get it. Money. My. (edited)its pretty easy to see/understand quite a bit about them based on what they choose to put out there. at the very least, its pretty easy to guess at a person's value system by what they choose to represent about themselves. i guess its possible that between pimping their inefficient cars, playing online poker for a living, and taking pictures of themselves dressed like dbags with slutty girls, they're forming meaningful personal relationships and reading/considering challenging material.but ummm, i doubt it.its ok, i'm sure we're just jealous. because making a living playing poker is such a difficult thing to do.

I didn't say they weren't "sweet" or "balla" cars, just that they were inefficient. when someone chooses to spend that much on a car that is mostly for show, it implies a lot about their value judgments. thats all i meant, since some of those cars are pretty nice.how much money are they making? better yet, how long have they been making it for, and how long can they expect to make it into the future?

STI is hovering around 30-35K and the e46 M3 isn't too much more, especially if he got it used, and considering the new M is coming out anyway. Not that expensive? I mean, expensive, but not grossly over expensive.

FWIW, my BMW has been the most efficient car I've ever owned. Not only that, but the service you get with BMW and the warranties etc are outstanding. The resale value is waaaaay high in comparison to other cars, and I feel a lot safer in it then I did my old car.<end BMW pitch> :-)I agree though, things like Hummers and Ferraris etc, are incredibly inefficient and seem like more of a hassle then a luxury. I guess if you have infinite money it would be nice to have a 300k sports car to drive from time to time, but not as a primary form of transportation. I really don't have a problem with people spending their money how they see fit, as long as they are not neglecting other parts of their lives to do so. As long as someone doesn't base their self worth on how many toys they have, I think it's ok to buy nice things for yourself.That being said, didn't I see one his blog posts on that link mention he wasn't playing due to severe depression? you didn't answer my question.durrr is possibly an exception, since he is at an even higher level than most of the guys i'm referring to. if i'm not mistaken, he's a winning player that the 200/400 PLO and the ultra-high limit NL games as well.if he is a guy who is making millions a year doing that, than i won't pretend that everyone has that ability.i was more referring to the other guys, and not the one that is (arguably) a legitimate ultra-high stakes pro.as for the car stuff, i'm no expert. something like a BMW is fine, i was more referring to things like hummers, escalades. i don't know enough about M3's or STI's, but sounds like my understanding was off.edit - durrr also has a pretty funny name. i'll give him that.

QFT on the BMW spiel. You definitely notice the difference behind the wheel of a BMW than say an everyday ordinary point A to point B car, (which there is nothing wrong with). Although people always tell me I'm the one paying for the "Free service" with the inflated costs. But meh... its a great car (efficiency wise) and fun to drive.

He was just shameless bragging, but I Guess the kid is excited, he's making money and buying all sorts of crazy stuff. There will probably be a losing streak eventually though. i guess lol @ people who think that a lot of people's value judgements cannot be determined by how their comport themselves online, and what they are proud of about themselves.i'll readily admit that durrr is a pro. the point i was making is that many people only a level below him assume that other people would do what they do if they could, even though many can, and don't. therefore it is not a jealousy thing.
