I think Jordan will be out of town for a while, so I figured I'd step in...My goals for July are...Play "well" in at least two WSOP events. Knowing the random nature of tournaments, I'll resist making specific goals for them.Earn enough cash to get back to playing 20/40 and 30/60 LHE.Get more live-game cash experience.Play at least 25 hours per week.Learn to play Razz.

I'm posting in this one because it already has a reply. Screech made his own thread redundant by posting in Cobalt's, and I will confirm the redundancy. My goals may change drastically if I get a job, but assuming I spend the entire month playing seriously, my goal is to play more than 40K hands. This may be tough since my source for good b2b boni is a little dry. If that picks up, and everything else comes together, I'd like to be closer to 40-50K hands at 1/2-5/10.I'd like to put in 2K hands a day about 5 days a week, and average close to $1K per week. Hopefully the available boni cooperate with my plans.

You really set the estimates low. That's about as much as you'll earn in bonus/rakeback, so your goal is more or less to break even at the tables. I like setting the bar low too so i wont be disappointed, but i think you can credit yourself with SOME money from the tables.Same goal as last month. 25k hands, and $6,000 for 2/4 3/6 and 5/10. That's about 2BB/100 with rb/bonus if i primarily play at 3/6... 1k hands, 6 days a week.Last month i fell short by about 5k hands and about $800. I should also be getting my first 60gb ipod video from absolute in two weeks. That should be nice... it'll be the first thing i physically get from poker this year (money has just been sitting idle in accounts).

I just wanted to point out that I started the July Goals post before Cobalt. His goals are more interesting though.BTW, what WSOP events are you playing in?
Yeah, my bad. I didn't notice your thread.I'll probably play the event on July 10th (#17?) and one more with a buy-in of $2k or less.

My estimates are a bit lower because i'm playing a lot of 1/2 and 2/4 at other sites. If there was enough availability at Absolute and I was playing that many hands, I'd be looking at closer to $1500/week.Also, I really don't know how to credit myself since I have no estimates. I'm counting everything up today because right now I couldn't tell you within $1K how much i'm up this month. I haven't been winning that much at the tables, so I'm hesitant to giive myself credit for much.Congrats on the IPod - if you get that high in points again, I was talking to MSSNAKE and he told me that they gave him a credit ($425) when he asked instead of sending the IPod. That's a pretty solid amount, so i'll almost for sure do that whence i get some real point accumulation going.

Wow. That's a good deal. I guess i can actually start factoring the value of ARP into my hourly rates. It's not much, but it's something.

I want to build my roll up to about $400 by playing $ .5/1 LHE and bonuses. All part of my larger year-long goal of paying for a $2k trip through poker!

my calculations may be off, but i figure at 3/6 it adds close to $0.50 to your hourly rate, which triples for elite.

Bad cobalt, for not including a poll. ;)I'll be spending the 6th - 20th in Panama during July. I don't know how much poker I'll be playing there, and it's not going to be a priority to get in "x" amount of hands while I'm there.Basically, if I can play down there, I'll go for it, but not nearly as often as I play here at home. So, my goals for June.Cash Games: Still shooting for a 10 buy in month at least ($4k) which I think will be possible even if I only play 10 days out of this month. But if I find I can access the internet down there more often, I'll be upping that...and will be posting here, so it will be all good.My tournament goals are going to be nil. I really don't know what kinda time I'll have for them, so I'm not setting any. I am do though for a tourney score. Come August, and the remaining months I'll really be pushing myself, but that's then and not now, so come then I'm sure it'll be mentioned. I leave soon for Panama so hopefully I can play a fair amount before I leave. I've decided I'll be moving out of home for good in at most 6 months. By that time, I'd like to have a years worth of rent and other expenses set completely aside, and have at least 50 buy ins for whatever limit I'll be playing (400 or 600nl). Blah, I'm really rambling now...I'll blog the rest....Good luck attaining your July goals!- Jordan

I was gonna fire up one of these posts the other day for July. I liked the June thread. My goals for the month:Make enough at 1/2 SH to get back to 2/4 SH full time.To do this, I need to win 120 BB's at 1/2.For 2/4, I'd like to win at least 300 BB's by the end of the month, and I'd like to be getting close to moving to 3/6.- Zach

My goals are:1. Make at least $10,000 playing cash games and SnGs2. Get good at NLHE cash games again, to the point where I'm making a consistent profit, and keeping stupid mistakes to a minimum.3. Stop playing like a donkey when I play live to the point where I at least break even. (Last month was my first losing month playing live, but I've found that my discipline there's gone waaaaay down.)Uh yeah, that's about it. It would be nice to pop off another MTT, but I'm not going to be taking MTTs seriously enough to actually set goals for them. I could easily go through the whole month and only play 6 or 7.

I had that happen a few times on my laptop. It gets low on memory, and it craps out to the point where you cannot respond in time. Since ive started with my desktop, the only issues ive had are ISP related. That's one of the reasons why i absolutely needed to get my desktop setup. Those issues end up being extremely costly... when playing on eurobet, i estimated that the hardware problems directly accounted for nearly $300 lost or 0.5BB/100 over the 10k or so hands that i played there. Issues that, if i was playing on a desktop that could handle everything, wouldnt have ever occured.

Goals, eh?I want to stop being so lazy...I'm playing fulltime for the summer, 50K hands for the month should not be a problem and yet it will almost certainly be a huge struggle.NLHE: Keep doing well and learning, have the BR/skills to start taking shots at 10/20 at the end of the month, maybe even move up for goodLHE: Start playing regularly again and re-dedicate myself to getting good at this game, start playing some 30/60 so I can prep myself for eventual shots at the high limitsOther: Spend a little time on other games, start playing live once I turn 21
